How are you all installing these safely? I tired mounting them up today and the center bore depth in the wheel is too shallow for the rear hub, so the wheels don’t sit on the drum. It looks like the only way to run these would be to have them machined about 2mm deeper. I didn’t have any clearance issues with the front dust cap. Just rears. Any thoughts??

My truck is a 2020, and these are the 2021 T4R pro wheels.

Sorted out a fix and documented it here: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/problems-with-2021-4runner-trd-pro-wheels-install.715447/

Stoked on these, running 255/75r17 Duratracs.

I guess you could always take a rear wheel off and look?

I saw your YouTube video, nice looking truck! Did you experience any issues while installing the 2021 PRO wheels? Some 3rd gen owners are saying there is a tight fit at the rear and you have to remove the dust cap that covers the center nut up front to properly seat the wheel?

No issues with the fronts but I did encounter an issue with the rear as @jschwerdtfeger mentioned.

I just ordered these rims and 265/70r17 wildpeaks. I saw in another thread that its necessary to machine the rim or grind 1mm off the rear hub. Im planning to grind the hub and I think that it will rub the front oem mudflap

You may be OK with 265/70/17 not rubbing the front mud flaps. I run 285/70/17 and did minor trimming. I don't have mud flaps but the clearance needed with 285s was not much.

Shit so there’s a fitment issue with the wheels on the rear.. hmm I’m sure my 1st gen tundra will run into the same issues

is this an issue with the 2nd gen tacomas?

My tacoma had the fitment issue on the rear. Its too tight and the wheel will get stuck. The shop grinded very little off the 4 wheels, just enough so it doesn't jam after being tightened.

test fit and the wheels seem to fit fine on the 1st gen tundras. so likely a good fit on the 1st gen tacos too

marked the mount surface on the wheel with paint pen, installed wheel and torqued, paint left on the drum.. so it seems to be ok.

Just got these through AGP wheels in Sacramento, though they do ship them to various shops across the states.

The Toyota center caps fit on them, so I'm waiting for them to come in :)

Eibach Pro Coilover set. I run 1 1/4" blocks in the rear. The fronts are easily adjustable.
