Does anyone now what model year changes/updates are coming for the 2021 Tacoma? Last week Toyota made a press release talking about model year 21 changes to the 4Runner, Tundra, etc but absolutely nothing on the Tacoma. thx

Mostly a carryover, but in Canada:

    - Limited is replaced by Nightshade Edition
    - TRD Pro is no longer available with the desert intake
    - Colour changes (Quicksand deleted altogether, Silver Sky removed on lower grades, Nightshade and TRD Premium get Windchill Pearl, Trail, TRD Off Road, and TRD Sport Premium get Army Green, Trail gets Cement Grey; Lunar Rock added to TRD Pro)
    - Dual Zone Auto A/C standard for all models.
    - Apple Carplay and Android Auto included on all models.

    Among other small changes.

Am interested in the tacoma trail edition. Wonder what's msrp. I'd just take the goofy trunk coolers off.

i dont think you can. they look like they are part of the bed molding. and for the MSRP you will definitely be paying a pretty penny for them.

think you're right, they do seem to be bolted in, but then the pain becomes paying for them in the MSRP and then removing and selling them. just seems like a waste just to have "trail edition" reminds me of people buying the TRD Pro and then swapping out the suspension just seems pointless. But hey I just say "you do you" to those people.

Thanks! Is the Apple Car Play/Android Auto wireless in 2021? Any other small or minor changes to the 21's?

Yea I understand. Reason for the interest is because the unique color, OR wheels, and 4x4. I like it as it and wouldn't even bother modding it. Currently I have a 2wd sport so I'd love to have 4x4 or crawl control with locker but I don't need both. So if I can get the trail edition for less than a 2wd OR, maybe its time for a trade-in.

Those coolers destroy the utility of the truck bed. No thanks.

Youtube video I watched about this trim claimed it was base on the SR5 trim, you got those boxes that do bolt in to the bed and yes you can remove them. I think the wheels are TRD off road wheels that are blacked out. special color stitching on the seats. 7000 will be made, something like that to make it a limited edition. I don't see the value in those bed boxes, sorry but those a dumb IMO.

That is horrible, taking the best color choice away from modest buyers.
