You can always buy a Chevy with some oddball color, that way it will be easier for the Tow Truck to locate you.

Pretty sure that the color doesn't affect how quickly it flakes off, but you do you. Not everyone can be awesome rocking the SuperWhite that never looks dirty.

ZF makes good transmissions, when I test drove a JLU and saw thats what was used I knew well at least I don't have to worry about the tranny, unlike every other part and the frame welds.

Wow! I have never heard of the Super Whites having issues until today..... I was planning on getting a 21 TRD Pro 4Runner to go with my Tacoma. I would be planning on keeping the 4Runner for 10 years minimum..... Has Toyota fixed the Super White paint issue yet? Is it bad enough i should be looking at other colors? thx

There’s no way that every single white truck is gonna be hit with the issue. It could be the trucks that were getting paint from the bottom of the can. Who knows? If every white truck (or even the majority) has this issue, Toyota will have no choice but to do something about it.

...^^^... I have had 12 Toyota trucks and most of the Tacomas were silver and I was planning on a 2021 Silver SR5 ... silver looks great and does not show dirt.

If they drop silver, I probably won't buy a Tacoma. I could kick myself for selling my cherry 2016 Silver, V6, Auto with 34K miles.

Maybe not every but a good chunk and of multiple years so how does one know there's wont be one that does? Its a single stage paint and already pretty fragile. And you don't know Toyota, they are slow to address obvious issues, just look at the frames that have carried from gen to gen, took them forever to address the campaign for the other models with white paint issues. I love super white, have had a few, we shall see.

this is the only upper trim option I was sad to leave without, I have a no options TRD OR 20. If this is true in the states too I’ll be a little sad. I’m doing a okay without it. But. Dual zone climate was the only thing I didn’t get that I was even remotely sad about not having (don’t care about sunroof etc). Didn’t make sense to spend an extra few grand on it plus all the other nonsense that came with it.

A desperate attempt to win over the Ridgeline crowd...lol

At least they are removable from what I remember, an actual truck bed lies underneath those monstrosities.

Why can’t we get a heated steering wheel option in these $40k mini trucks?*

    *sarcasm

Ever had a vehicle with a heated steering wheel? I talked all kinds of trash until I had a car with it. Being the windows-down/top-down/doors-off(jeep & bronco) type of person I am, I absolutely loved it once I had it and I really wish my tacoma had one. I would happily trade the useless automatic high beams feature for it. Same with auto leveling and adaptive headlights, they were awesome on curvy roads at night. If $30k cars can have that, our "premium" and "limited" tacomas should have it available, I think.
