    Check your towing wires and connector under the Taco and under the tailgate area. Could've been a short, got wires hot.

    Blue at vehicle side is fused power 40 amps (always juiced/hot)
    Black is to trailer electrical brakes
    Green is Dash/Tail illumination (Brake controller)
    White with Black stripe is ground (Brake controller)
    Violet is Brake signal input (Brake Controller)

    The wiring from the Taco is correct. The wiring from the Towing Brake module (visually) seems incorrect. I do not think the dealer will cover the meltdown.

    Warranty is cover manufacturing defects, sorry, this is not one of them. It’s tough enough to get them to cover what they should.

    wire colors do not mate. But colors do not necessarily correlate to the circuit they are attached to. (Worker could've inserted first color he saw, not following assembly guide)...

    I have this older style... the 902502 and I just plug into my 12v and away I go.
    Was a bit surprised when I first hooked up the little camper to the truck, plugged in the 7 pin, plugged to the 12v, and
    it worked right off the bat. Not as slick as the new-fangled setups but it works like a champ.
