2021 Tacoma SR 2.7 trailer wiring / brake controler

    So I gather your SR 2.7 doesn't even have the 4 pin towing connector at the rear bumper?

    It’s a lot of work. Etrailer sells a wire harness that runs to the battery and it’s plug and play for the rear tail lights for brake and reverse lights but I don’t think it comes with a brake controller and it comes with the four pin connector. If you want to connect the four pin wires to the seven pin connector, you have to buy another kit.

    You probably want this, its plug and play. It hooks up to your tail lights.

    Thank you. I did see that and I was hoping there was an easier way. What ever happened to the days of splicing right in at the taillights for the lighting!
