I'm at a loss trying to figure out my 2022 head unit issue. One day it just would not come on. The only things that seem to be working are the back lights around the buttons and the fan in the back of the unit. My back up camera still appears on screen when in reverse but nothing else. I checked fuses and all seemed to be ok. I even took it to the local dealer and they said they couldn't find what was wrong and that I need a new head unit. Anyone have similar issues? Any info would be much appreciated.

I recently had a head unit issue which ended up being linked to my anytime back up camera wiring harness (have the one with the front camera added). The bluetooth microphone went out on me one day, tried replacing the microphone with an OEM part which didn't work. Took it into the dealership they confirmed software was up to date on both phone and head unit and they replaced the DCM controller, still wouldn't work. They got with IT or whoever at Toyota who said the head unit needed to be replaced. They go the new head unit in and it still wouldn't work. They unhooked the wiring harness and plugged it back in with the stock set up and it worked perfectly. Ended up not needing a new head unit or DCM controller. Luckily I have an extended warranty so I wasn't out anything. I sent a very detailed explanation of everything to Any Time Backup Camera to see if they had any suggestions or reasons that may have occurred. They never got back to me. I'll probably just purchase a new wiring harness and retry it.

Long story short, if you have any type of wiring harness attached to the head unit try disconnecting it and reconnecting the stock components.
