2022 Tacoma Speaker Wire Connectors

Hello Everyone,

Thanks for the add to the forum. I am upgrading the speakers in my 2022 Tacoma 2wd SR With the stock sound system. Cruthfield and Geeksquad both say I need a speaker wire connector but the part they sold me does not match what's in my truck. Neither company has been able to point me in the right direction. I have a consultation appointment with a certified Geeksquad installer in 2 weeks.

Does anyone know what type of connector I need, and which speaker wires are positive and negative. They are blue and green.I have uploaded photos for reference

looks like the newer speaker connector, should be the 72-8109 metra speaker connector;

sorry for the misleading information. I wrongly assumed that Gen3 is Gen3. I used the part number provided for my 2017 install. At least the colors are the same.
