FFS. People need to understand that not every truck is identical. One trucks wheelbase could be .5 inch longer or shorter than the next of the same year and model. One truck could have 1 or 2 degree more angle at full lock than the next. Just because something worked for your truck, doesn't mean it's going to work for the next.

If there's mixed claims that a particular size fits or not, then you just need to try it and see.

Tire fitment is a mixed bag of dicks.

Yes on the 265/70, I would imagine so as well on 255/75. I took the flaps off briefly for 265/70 and then it was fine. I didn't like having no flaps though, so I put them back on and I ended up swapping wheels. I wanted to swap wheels anyways though, the Semas were personally not my style.

You may still scuff the lower part of the fender flare plastic going up curb ramps or reversing, but the instances will be greatly reduced.

If you want the road spray and gravel protection of flaps, you can get RokBlokz XL flaps. These go below the flare and attach to the cab mount with an L-bracket for max tire clearance:

By the way, which 4Runner wheels do you plan to buy, the TRD SEMA wheels or the newer TRD Pro wheels? The latter requires grinding the hub register on Tacomas.

…and don’t forget those fancy dancy upper control arms ….they might whine, too.
Dude, don’t mess with the truck until things actually break. Did you consider an Off-road?

Bilsteins 5100s on the top setting, 4runner Gray TRD Pro Sema wheels, 285/70/17 Toyo AT3s, Sumo Bump stops, TRD exhaust, ECGS Clamshell bushing, 1/4 shim for the lean and one inch rear block, OEM Pro grill and garnish OEM TRD Skid plate, TRD CAI, Demon Brackets, Rigid Industries Pro fog lights, OEM Trail Rails sidebars, Diode Dynamics LED SL1 high and low beam lights, OEM Roof racks, Clazzio leather heated seats, Remote Start, TRD Pro shift knob, tinted windows, Rockford Fosgate 4 channel amp for the headunit and sub and amp combo, OEM Puddle lights, OEM tailgate lock, OEM bed mat, LED interior lights, OEM blackout kit for letters, JLT catch can, upgraded 27F toyota True Start battery, Vleds led tail light kit with Pro tail lights, OEM Rave4 side mirrors with convex spotters, just to name a few mods.
I have the OEM 17in. 4Runner SEMA wheels and run 285/70s TOYO at3s with no rubbing or trimming but did have an alignment done moving the wheels slightly forward. I also still have the factory mud guards and lifted slightly over 2 inches up front and 1 inch rear. No issues at all, so rubbing when flexed but I did oval out the holes on the bottom of the mud guards to slide them back almost 3/4 of an inch.

I didn't realize they were different. Newbie here.

How are the TufSkinz mudflaps? Trying to find some mudflaps that don’t rub on my 265/70/17 tires. I have 4Runner TRD pro wheels and my RekGens are rubbing on the right side and have noticed it pushed my exhaust tip down.

I haven’t really had any issues with them, easy install, easy to adjust, they have slotted holes to slide a bit in and out so you can match it to the offset of your tire. The only modification I did in the front was remove one of the spacers to allow it to form closer to the fender liner. They have tons of options, different color text, different text options.

When I had my Bilsteins put on the shop did an alignment, but I had 265-65-17 tires on it. Couple days later I had 265-70-17 tires put on by a different shop. I've had zero rubbing, and I have to drive up a damn curb on my right side tires everyday. Both sets of tires are Toyo Open Country AT3's. Factory mud flaps are good to go.

Those wheels do not have rub issues. The wheels in question are a different Toyota option that is narrower and they are further out which increases rub. The wheels you have are not known to ever rub on 265/70.
