nada....maybe a license plate one day & BA bumpers
They had a pre-configured one available so I jumped on it....not sure if I can customize it as I believe it is already in production, but I'm going to stop into to dealer next week & inquire

Currently on the fence to do this, I need to see final prices of the hybrid and take a test drive before I go full commit.

Totally agree...I can back out of my commitment/$500 deposit when it arrives...
I'm going to drive & scrutinize the crap out of it, before I make the jump

I read an article this morning that the current wait time for a new 2022 tundra is 6-18 months depending on trim
So if you can find a dealer to hold one for you, I would get on it

Luckily I coached a kid for 5 years whos dad owns a Toyota dealership. We have been in touch, probably head there to test drive the ones he gets in pretty soon.

    Mostly dust and dirt.
Some people are more concerned with being first to have the new thing.
Reminds me of when the Chrysler PT Cruiser was released. Dealers were marking up the price 5 to 10 thousand and they couldn’t keep them on the lot.

    Holy Toledo!

I pushed my limits by saying to myself...buy your first NEW truck and keep it under $40K. ($38,807)

I paid $32K for our NEW 2003 Honda Pilot in Hawaii. That was the most I had ever spent on a New vehicle.

For me, going into the $50K range sounds absurd...but why does $40K sound any better? I don't know...it just does.

I spent $32K because I wanted a family vehicle to do the duties and it did...in HI and then Germany...then Delaware...then Italy...then back to DE. I put over 200K miles on her.

Do I expect the same from a Toyota? Of course. This time, it's for me. Not being selfish but my wife doesn't feel comfortable driving it. In fact, she hasn't.

I did try and teach her how to drive our New SUV, 1993 5-speed Isuzu Rodeo when we lived in TX (1993-99)...that did not go well. I forgot how much I paid for the Rodeo.

Times have changed...and I wish you well with the purchase of your Tundra. My recollection is in no way to interfere with your purchase.

Wonder how much the Platinum, 1794 Edition, and TRD Pro trims would be with options. I think $70k at the high end is a given. $80k?

Dealers are asking over 80k for a Ford F-150 Tremor. No idea what MSRP is.20211122_172202.jpgand that's a Ford!

I think TRD Pro Tundras, will be 100k if you are lucky and know somebody at the Toyota dealership. Most people will be paying well over 100k for a Pro Tundra. West coast will probably 150k to 170k, if there is enough demand maybe 200k.

Have you seen the asking price for a new Toyota RAV4?

Or find a dealer that won’t charge any mark-up.

"I-FORCE" is the non-hybrid version right? Plenty of room to go up...

The top end base starts at $61k. I doubt an I force hybrid and accessories will jump it $20k+ And Toyota like to bundle stuff together.

Ford and the other truck manufacturers are just getting greedy. Just read today that Ford cancelled its partnership with Rivian because they think they can do better with the Lightning.

I think if Toyota artificially raises the value of its vehicles in a similar fashion, then it will murder its resale values. That Tremor might have an MSRP of $81k but it’s still just a fancier XLT with some extras. It will still only resale for $45-$55k in a year.

That's sensible, but what fun would that be? Would the dealer sell it to the buyer offering to pay $200,000 for it?

I don't think the Ford will hold its value like the Toyota. The higher end Tremors are more in line with the Lariat, or Platinum option, still a fancier XLT.

I just want to see somebody trade in a Ferrari for a new Tundra.
