    My thoughts:
    • Correctly referred to as the 3rd Gen by Toyota.
    • Reminds me of the 3rd gen Tacoma release. Nothing really stands out about it. It looks like a model that should have been released 2018 at the latest.
    • Was really hoping for a HD model. it actually looks less heavy duty than the previous generation. Like the Tacoma, it's become more car and less truck.
    • Overall it's nice to see a new Tundra. I like the look and the crew cab with the 6' bed option.

It doesn't. Someone said it looks like the Ridgeline. They have no good judgement perception thats for sure.

How many drinks will be spilled into the transfer case switch and dial? Weird Toyota design quirks.

Looks awful. I’m sure they’ll ruin the Tacoma too.

Middle of the truck looks good, but those grilles and tailgates, especially the Pro look horrible. Like wish.com made a truck horrible.

Toyota is resting on its laurels and selling lots of trucks based on brand reputation. People are still buying lots of them as well. I remember when Toyota was an exciting company mid 70's through late 80's. Not so much anymore.

I like it, it's not that great but not terrible either, typical bland Toyota.

My mine gripe is the Ni-MH battery, it's almost 2022, why are they using battery tech from the last decade and not Li-ion? Makes no sense at all.

I'll trade my Tacoma in when it's gets a mid-cycle refresh and hopefully by then they'll replace the battery with a Li-ion one.

Agreed. I really want to see the SR details. What does the work spec look like? Whats the bear minimum Tundra price? Looking forward to finding that out.

I need to see it in person. The exterior is pretty nice but not sure on the interior. The coil spring rear end is a good upgrade but I'm not sure they have done "enough" to put the Tundra at the top of the charts. They basically copied Ford on the powertrain on paper. I think I prefer Ford's 14th gen interior out of all the 1500 series trucks. I am still new to the whole Japanese interior styling. I do prefer the Tacoma's interior over all the other compact trucks.

This is how the terrain select is in the Rav4. Probably just wanting to carry over the design language. I agree with your assessment, though.
