We rented a Sienna Hybrid a few months back for a roadtrip and it also had a 12" screen and I thought it was fine. Not sure if it will have the same OS as the new Tundra but for the most part it was helpful to have a larger screen.

I'm with you on that, I wanna see what the numbers are and will it compete with Ford. Seems like they have built it to compete with F-150 in most categories but I don't really like the looks quite yet. Remember when the 3rd gen Taco came out? Lot's of hate at the beginning but it's Toyota's #1 selling pickup now.

This, I’m sorry, but how can a tv on the dash not be distracting when trying to adjust things, or just drive with the radio on, with it in the middle of the dash, having to look down away from the road.

The overall dimensions look to be about the same as the current Tundra. The crew cab pictured has the shorter bed. I’m hoping that the 6.5 foot bed is available as an option, like the American brands.

Once they hit the streets and people start modding them, I think they’ll sell like crazy especially if the power train specs are good.

I’d hold out for a refresh in a couple of years. Then you don’t have to worry about the first couple of model year issues and it’ll look more aesthetically pleasing

This is, IMO, the ugliest version of a Toyota pickup I've ever seen.

That said, I am sure it will look different in person than it does in photos. I am also sure these will grow on me the more I see them driving around.

Call me crazy but I love the 1st gens, anything after that is a downgrade....

No worries to each their own  Toyota does what it's customers generally want...within reason. The current Tundra needed to be refreshed or it would be the end of it within a few years. This is so they can stay competitive and increase Tundra sales across the board...maybe to higher levels than they even thought. I know many F-150 folks that hate the 3.5L Ecoboost but it still outsells everything else so obviously people are happy with them overall. As for the looks...I think the TRD Pro model looks pretty sharp but not sure how I'll like the rest of the models. With that said I'm in over my head thinking I can afford a $75k truck

The people who generally complain about the Ecoboost are those who want a V8 rumble and are under the assumption that the Ecoboost is less reliable. Not a single person I've ever seen has complained about the power though.

I definitely see the trend of larger/taller front ends sweeping auto manufacturers over the last 3 years or so. It was sort of inevitable that the new Tundra would look something like this. I'm just not ready to accept that these are the future Toyotas.

I'm interested to see how that Bi-Turbo V6 factors into things... My dad leased a '16 F150 EcoBoost and man... That thing put you in your seat!!! Plus, the Bi-Turbo has been used by Lexus for like 25 years now right? Still got that good ol' Yota reliability.

    $75K is ...... incredible :O

Exactly...I've heard they are pretty quick. Watch some TFL truck videos of their powerboost that smokes almost all the competition out there is pretty impressive. But I still don't want a Ford :rofl:my dad has owned 2 in my lifetime and they were both huge POS so I decided against them about 10 - 15 years ago.

Also supposedly the new Tundra engine has been tested for 5-6 million "simulated" miles before wearing out. It is a Lexus engine at heart so hopefully the reliability of it will surpass all the others.

I'm only guesstimating that will be close to the price of markups and whatnot...which I'll die before I pay  I can see this truck MSRP for about $10k more than the current top of the line Tundra ($56k). So around $66k is what I think we can expect the Pro or Platinum models to be around...Then there will be crazy markups on these things for the first 6mo - 1 yr probably around the $70k range. I HOPE I'M WRONG! :cookiemonster:

I only put so much weight into that. Ford did the same type of thing which included running the Ecoboost for weeks on end and then putting it in the Baja 1000 and then running it some more. The thing is 90% of your wear occurrs before the engine reaches operating temperature. The common denominator with all these really high mileage engines is usually long highway miles. No testing can simulate years of the elements either.

I test drove a 3.5 0-40 is pretty quick. The 3.5 is also the only option for the Tremor package.
