I was happy with the discount overall. Could have done better on a Limited in my area (Western Washington) since there was more inventory on that trim. In the end, I got what I wanted and super happy with the truck.

I had a similar deal to you. I had spoken to about 10 dealers in two days and had email offers of 3000 off MSRP. Then I went to the closest dealer that had the one I had and told them I wanted to buy one for 3000 off the MSRP. They had all these add ons that totaled over $3k. But they ended up not charging me for that.

haven't purchased yet, but seeking input if 38.7k Out the door price for a 2023 TRD SPORT Double cab is a decent deal. It's gray, very minimal options (just all weather mats, and bed mat).

additionally, if 39.9k is better for a 23' TRD OR is a better deal. I don't do much offroading FWIW.

I paid MSRP $38,803 for my 2021 Sport with floor mats/door sills.

My interest was the skewp so the OR was not even on my radar.

If you don't off road, stick with the Sport.

If you're looking to sell it, maybe the OR would get you higher resale.

This thread was a huge help in knowing where i wanted to be. Local dealer dropped that nonsense of Market Adjustment about a month ago and had as many Tacomas on the lot as i have seen in a long long time.

MSRP was $348??...about $600 in added nonsense and $37,028 listing price. Tax, Titles, Tags, etc... $39,6?? if i recall.

Got out the door for $37k even and a bed mat (Truck was $34,199).

 

I was lucky I found a dealer who had an Off-road Taco allocated but not built yet. I put the deposit down and I got everything I wanted in my truck. This machine is awesome! I'm a hunter and a surf fisherman....I'm gonna have fun with her on the beach this year!!!

I wound up leasing the truck @ 3/36k miles- As I use the truck for work and usually it takes a beating. But because fourth Gens are outrageously over priced sooo far, I might wind up keeping the truck for a bit longer. I needed to get out of my access cab SR-SX due to us having another kiddo. And back in august when I went to the dealer they had a TON of 3rd gen inventory. And couldnt pass up the Lunar rock color and TRD OR combo. But overall super satisfied to get into a TRD OR for only $330 a month. Which was not much more for what I was paying for a 2020 SR-SX. And from what I have heard with others and interest rates, I looked at an affordable payment and incentive to possibly get a new truck in 3 years etc.

Just picked up a 2019 Dclb 4x4 trd OR for 23,500 with 75k on the clock bone stock beside a leer camper shell. Pretty happy and excited to do some mods to it in the future. I think I got a great deal from what I have been seeing.

 

Nitrogen in the tires is the biggest case of BS that stealerships screw people on. I can't believe they get away with that crap!

First week of April, 2024. 2023 double cab, 4x4, mid-range model. White, black interior. V6 auto. Power driver seat. Just under 13K miles. A former rental. So the option level is unspectacular. Base radio without navigation, of course. Just over $41K plus taxes, fees, and other unavoidable costs. Oddly, the unavoidable costs were trivial this time. We were in and out in under 3 hours.
