The best break down of true cost ever posted. Even color-coded!! Also pretty sure the best discount I’ve seen since Covid foolishness. Yeah, the port options from Gulf states are a PIA similar to SET. The dealer I worked with on my 2020 told them at the port to not install anything so I got mine for true MSRP. But they really don’t like doing that as it cuts into their profit. I was buying the month that Covid was hitting and they thought everything would go into the toilet so they were eager to sell.
There’s value to some of the add ons if those were things you would want anyway like tinted windows. They’re just double the price you would pay. Comical that they put two sets of floor mats.

Thank god Toyota is finally offering discounts.
I just purchased a Ram 1500 for $15,000 off MSRP because the Toyota dealers weren’t playing ball in my area. I paid less for a $55,000 sticker ram with a Hemi then i was getting quoted for a base TRD off road

Walked in to look at what they had, this one was in the back, not yet detailed. It had all the options I wanted so I bought it. After reading about everyone waiting, I was lucky not to have to wait, and to not pay a mark-up. Plus, I saved some money with the Costco program.

We will need a buyers order for proof of this. $6,000 off is way below cost with no incentives.

What should I expect to happen to 2023 Tacoma prices once the reveal occurs on Friday? I almost pulled the trigger on a TRD OR access cab recently. The price was hovering around 42,000 not including my trade in (5k). Dealer wouldnt play ball as I have zero leverage I guess.

I guess people could hate the new truck and rush to purchase the last remaining 2023s or maybe everyone will love it and their could be an excess of 2023s?

Agreed, if true I am happy for the buyer, however, I call BS on this. Haven't seen that kind of discounts since 2019 and inventory is still low for Tacoma's.

Would be nice to see the price breakdown worksheet but I wouldn’t call it unbelievable. Definitely not below cost. Tons of extras and add-ons. These deals and more off used to be common place. My initial thought was maybe an end of the month, Dealer needs one more sale to hit a sales goal. But yeah, certainly an outlier for this market.

No it’s below cost. I bought a Tremor and invoice to MSRP was $4,027. Holdback on Ford is 3% ($1,746). So on a $62,125 truck there is not even $6,000 markup. A less expensive Toyota is going to have less. People here act like accessories are free to the dealership and the guys who install them work pro-bono. That shit is crazy expensive to have a dealership tech put on.

I paid 43k out the door for my Taco.. I wonder if I got screwed since it took me half a day to negotiate the price. I bought it on April 25, 2023.

I paid msrp for my TRDOR in April - $41,864. A hodgepodge of optional equipment including: LED lights, bed step, bed extender, TRD exhaust, emblem blackout, TRD air filter, floor liners, bed mat, console safe, d-rings, and TRD skidplate (which is the best because I can change the oil without having to drop it).

Their dealer adds look primarily after purchase, so I assume you don't have any of them except for maybe window tint and wheel locks/skid plate? $2,300 off MSRP is a good deal in my book.

Definitely not screwed. I would say the opposite. One of the better deals we’ve seen in a while. PAID MSRP and all those port and dealer options basically for free. While the price they show for them is immensely bloated, most definitely have value if you like/want them. Especially when you get them for free. I think many people unknowingly consider them part of the MSRP. Definitely keep the paperwork for the lifetime guarantee on the paint, film protection.

Yeah, that would be surprising if they left a skid plate on there.
