For all the folks (i’m one of them) that have been asking Toyota to add push button start to the SR5 trim level, our wish has come true! I’m so stoked to see all the 2023 configurations from Toyota available.

    Oh look, another mod....
Man, we sure have become a spoiled society.

Remember when you would use one key to unlock the truck and another for the ignition? I do.
Remember when power anything (brakes, steering, windows, locks, mirrors) was considered a "High Dollar" option? I do.
Remember when a hand brake and a manual transmission were standard? I do.
Remember when we didn't need Sirius XM/Apple Carplay, Android Auto or USB devices to play music? I do.
Now we have to have 14 different cameras on our trucks and want it to auto-park itself.

I kind of miss those days. Now, I'm guilty as sin because my truck has all the bells and whistles listed above..and I rarely ever use it. Most of them were forced upon me. I couldn't say no even if I wanted to. My daddy calls my truck "A Cowboy Cadillac".

No need to feel guilty and nothing wrong with a little nostalgia. Progress happens, but that doesn’t mean we can’t miss the good old days at times.

You would think you need push start. I though I did. I installed mine almost a year and half ago and I used it twice and those two times were when I tested it after installing it.

Wait, what? So you installed a push start but have only used it twice? How else do you start the truck? How did you install that mod? Was it successful? Do you only drive the truck twice every year and a half? So many questions.

Anybody saying bush button start isn’t better is lying to themselves in a bout of nonconformist gratification. Keys remain in pocket, push a button. Nothing about that process is worse. Any points about batteries/sensors are invalid, you do maintenance to the truck including changing the battery, same rules apply for the fob.

If your truck is equipped with a manual, it has a key and push start option:D:thumbsup:

Would have rather seen LED headlights.

I prefer a key, because PTS keyfobs are too large to carry around. I like remote start, that's about the only advantage of PTS.
