Just got a new set of TRD wheels for $300 (Score!) but no TPMS.

Looking at getting Blizzak DMV2s for a winter tire set but have read about all sorts of issues getting TPMS to sync.

Sounds like I can get the tires and 7007 sensors from Costco for cheaper than anywhere else.

Anyone done this and the TPMS was fine?

What brand are "7007" sensors? The Tacoma is a Denso 550-0106 / Pacific T-6 or other "programmable" sensors that can be programmed and relearned. Just be aware that currently the ONLY sensor that can do the auto relearn function in new Toyotas is the Denso or Toyota part (also Denso/Pacific) from the Toyota parts dept. All others will have to be relearned with the OBD cable.

If you get programmable sensors, the tire shop can clone the numbers and the truck will see them when the sets are changed over, no action will be needed. The other option is to scan the new sensors in with a scan tool and store them as your second set, the Tacoma’s have the ability to keep two sets, you can switch them through the dashboard menus.

Awesome. Thank you. I wasn't sure if it was easy and Costco is going to save me $20 a sensor but figured it was worth it to spend the extra $20 per for OEM if it was going to save me a headache.
