I’ve seen several on the lot and they are the ugliest cars on the road. What was Toyota thinking?

I don't quite get who they are targeting there. Your practical buyers looking for something a little nicer will go with a high trim Camry, luxury buyers would go Lexus I would think. So all that is left are luxury buyers that want a more under the radar vehicle I guess. I don't think it's gonna last as a model.

I suppose they were thinking there was a demand for such a car.
And I’m sure profit played a good role in the decision too?

And no. I don’t like it.
    And I’m not buying.
However, I would drive one if it were given to me.

The venza is superior in every way except for acceleration.

The crown is a shadow of its predecessors.

I don’t think I’ll get to drive one soon but look forward to the 2.4t hybrid in the highlander soon

I had no idea that the crown was available in the US. I thought that was a Japan only market.

I was actually more expecting it and not expecting the GR Corolla.

My dealer got one of each and we're not sure to see more.

Supply chain sucks. People want to buy Toyotas, but there just arent any.

Still havent seen a Prius yet.

I think I get it now. Looks like the Crown is replacing the Avalon as their flagship not-a-Lexus.

    I never liked the Avalon.

I’ve been around the new Prius. It’s better looking and faster than the old one. Still not sure if the interior is better.

When they first announced it I thought it was a North American version of the Toyota Century. I was bummed it was this lame Crown.

I'm still contemplating importing an old Century. [IMG]

EEEECE86-0A6C-4EBC-8173-CAE19614E94E.jpg I’m to old for lowered cars but I still think cosmetically it’s nice. I prefer speeding up over bumps rather than slowing down

I grew up see them all the time, very nice cars back then. They were luxury tanks, the Lexus LS before there were Lexus.

    Newer ones, not so much.

It's an odd one. Not many people buying sedans today. So Toyota is competing against itself with Camry, and there Lexus sedans. Most people buying cars today are also leaning EV like Tesla. Very odd choice to launch a new sedan in today's market. Why wouldn't you go CUV with the increased ride height on the Crown? I have seen a few on the road

The dealership where I work is selling all the sedans they can get. Since the Japanese and Koreans still offer a variety of models I sometimes wonder if GM and Ford are wise not to offer sedans.

They stopped making them because people weren't buying them. Domestic trucks and sports cars were selling great, but they couldn't give the regular cars away
