250,000 Miles Today

I have 379k on my 06 now. I've just run high mileage 5w30 since about 70k miles. I change every 5k. Engine doesn't burn a drop and still runs great.

I really don't know another vehicle with the killer reputation that the Toyota pick-up truck has. Come on, the term 'that thing will run forever' doesn't get used on very many other vehicles.
I am on my 3rd Tacoma, and I've pulled 53,000 miles in my first year, and it runs like a Swiss watch. I wouldn't trade it in for nothin' (unless they come out with a Tacoma hybrid like they have been talking about.....)

OP---this is awesome! I bought my '08 with 88k on it and now just turned 103k. Long way to go to catch you but I plan on running mine until retirement (15-19 years). Good to know that I just need to do the maintenance and take care of it. Foolishly, I traded my 4runner with 189k bc I was nervous about the mileage If only I had known about this site then! Thanks for the inspiration and keep bringing the updates!

250,000 miles(400,000 km's) is an awesome milestone. It's threads like this that make me glad that I got a Toyota.

 

Hondas do pretty good.
