    Riddle me this...

To go with my 2.5" Billys on the front for the rear should I be doing:

    Spacer Block or AAL's?

TSB + Little spacer Block or 1.5" Procomp AAL and stocker spring pack?

Want to retain as smooth a ride as possible!!

aal will ride better than a block anyday. i know this from experience. if you have the tsb leaf a 1.5" aal will set you up real nice. may have to get shims or a carrier bearing drop kit if you have any driveline vibrations after the aal install

edit: make sure you put some billy 5100's in the rear too, itll ride much smoother.

I dont want rake. I just want level....

Will the combo of AAL and TSB give me 2.5 in the rear when I really want flat or 1.5?

Pro-Comp sales rep seems to think his AAL will fit the TSB leafs. Toyotec's AAL have two different part numbers. One for non TSB and another for TSB springs.

Billies go on the rear when its all done...My fear is that I may very well end up rubbing so badly that I'll hafta go bigger somehow?

All I want is for my truck...To sit like your truck!!!

mmm the 1.5" aal from toytec or wheelersoffroad is fit for the tsb. not sure about pro comp. you are correct both leafs should give you around 2.5" of lift. the aal might settle a bit. so you are looking at a level look after settling or maybe a slight, barely noticeable rake.

id say you should be fine with those size tires. many guys on here are running bigger (285/70/17) with aftermarket wide wheels and have some rubbing but nothing that cant be fixed.

haha, thanks, i guess? i tend to over-analyze too but better to get it right and annoy the hell out of everyone by asking 5784594758 questions than being quiet and getting it wrong

I'm sure you guys have seen expeditionwest.com- It looks like that guy has some big tires stuffed under there with minimal lift?

Wheels: American Racing 797 Black Steel Wheels 16x8" with 4" of backspacing
Tires: Bfg 255/85 R16 Mud Terrain KM

Its neat- don't know if it's relevant but oh well.

Man I hope I don't have bad rubbing issues. I have my lift and 285/70/17's going on with some XD rims - 4.53 and -12. I don't mind trimming a bit, but I'm not going be cutting my cab mount frame, no way in hell.

I'm just pointing out something I saw and thought was neat. I was in a hurry typing it earlier and did'nt explain I guess.

Its cool that a guy fitted 285's with no lift. It makes me wanna try it with my billys at 1.75

OP, mastercraft makes pretty good looking tire in 275/70/17. After hearing some good things about it on here thats what I'll be going with to avoid rubbing issues.

I'm going whole hawg on the 285's until proven otherwise....

I'm waiting for the UPS guy right now with my 951's!!

Gonna have Discount tire mount it all up and if its hard on the bodymount then plan B is the BFG 275/65.....

Dont waste your time. John has a prerunner. Thats how he can pull it off. Guys with 3" lifts and 285's on 4x4's are still rubbing!!
