That harness indicates there's somewhere on the 28 pin connector to pull 12v for the any-time reverse cam mod. Any idea what pin has 12v?

You can pull 12v from pin 1 for reverse signal. DO NOT TRY TO POWER ANY LIGHTS FROM THIS PIN.

Thanks! Does that mean it cannot be used with your smaller "Camera" switch as it has a blue LED? If so can the light be disabled

You can leave the light unwired. If you want the switch illuminated, you need to either tie it to a +12V ign source or the dash lighting circuit.

Ordered +2 switches. Anyone know what are all the disadvantages of having the GPS override on (Like why wouldn't you have it on permanently)

Some have reported that in the 16s and 17s it may cause errors. Also, in some vehicles the nav stops responding until you switch it back to normal.

This will not add navigation to your non-nav HU.

OK I have used this since Dec. I have verified that once u have this installed for the nav override and the switch done like the one with 4 wires. You can leave it in the OFF position for good. Meaning nothing greyed out. You drive for at least 5-10 mins the GPS will catch up. Then everytime you start ur truck you will never have to use the switch again.
I've done it to mine. And to @armyofsquirrels. He was very skeptical. We drove with the switch out and nothing greyed out. Drove around and GPS caught up. Then we hit button and it greyed out. Then hit button nothing greyed out. Drove around. GPS caught back up. Put switch behind dash and haven't needed it since.

I tried this with my 2017 Entune unit, driving around for awhile with the switch off. I agree that nav seems to be functional again after 5-10 minutes, but it's not quite the same as with switch on. The display refresh rate is significantly slower with switch off. On your YouTube video, see how the refresh is about 1-2 frames/sec or so, with the map jumping slightly. With switch on its about 10 frames/sec estimated, and the map movement much smoother. That's the only drawback I have noticed.

It may or may not bother people.

BTW, thanks @jshsltr for making this sweet cable, helping me do a no-cut install.

My 13 has the reverse camera in the rear view mirror. Can I use this harness to add a front camera that shows up on my HU?
