I went from 255 to 285 (16" wheel variants). I have to say mileage differences with the wider tires is almost negligable and not to mention visually the 285's are wayyy more aggressive.

But they do rub.. a lot. My 255's did not at all. Not a big deal but if you don't want to cut the frame (I still haven't gotten the cmc but need it badly), 255's might be the way to go.

Thanks guys for sharing. It would be great if the wheel specs are included and also if there is any rubbing.

nitto terra grapplers...black rhino mints...-15 offset. after removing mudflaps and trimming slightly, only get a little rubbing when going in reverse and steering wheel is near lock. my front end is only lifted approx 2".

How are you liking those Ridge Grapplers? How's the wear and what are they rated (C/E)? I just starting looking at these along with a few others I've been looking at.

Was just looking to level and had used the 5100 on my previous tacoma and loved them. The 5100's allow a small lift without having to replace other components. They also allow for the proper wheel travel as opposed to other cheaper block lifts that hurt the ride. These shocks are a beast and was just enough lift to allow me to run the 285/70/17's.

    LT rated - 10 ply

Best tire I personally have ever had.

Not really able to comment on the wear honestly.

Only have about 500 miles on them and they look brand spankin new
