285/70/17's - Let see them

What do you all think about this color combo?

2014 BAJA edition. Standard BAJA/Pro lift in front 1.75", Icon progressive AAL on the rear spring pack. Rear is lifted 1.50"

Tires are Cooper STT Pro 285/70/17 Wheels SCS brushed Copper Ray-10's 17x9. No rubbing. Very minor trimming to plastic to the front lower wheel well plastic.

 

love it. gonna do this with mine....ditching the black rims and going gold or bronze!

 

@TacomaJoe23 do you rub with your setup? i just ordered 20x10 hostile sprockets and 33 inch atturo trail blades, wondering how much ill rub and have to trim, i have a 3 inch lift and the stup is -44 offset

Hey guys, im looking for a little feedback from the folks with 4 bangers running 285/70/17s on stock gears. Im wondering if its bearable with the 5speed or how well it handles the bigger tires? I want to go up a size but my truck is already pretty heavy and im thinking a regear is going to be necessary in order to keep from losing too much power..

Any feedback would be greatly appreiciated! I didnt notice too much power loss when going up to 265s from the stock 245s that came on it

Im running 285/70/17

On 17x9s

3.5 backspace

-38 offset

5" lift up front & 3" out back

Had to do CMC and trim some of the inside front plastic flares

Lots of guys that run those wide wheels are on 6" lifts just to clear them

Im really interested to see your setup and how it turns out none the less

 

Where did you get your cab mount chop done? Did Texoma help you out? he seems to be the go to guy around Austin for things like that.

 

Got the plates from BAMF. @wagerhope ordered several sets for us so we could save on shipping.

Thanks man! Thats what i figured! I wouldve had him install my lift up front if i didnt end up doing it myself. Next time im up towards austin ill have to see about getting him to help me out with a CMC. Hoping to get some 285s eventually! How you liking the ridge grapplers?

Please excuse my ignorance but what is T&T/lake day?

I wont be able to make it this time around as I have a buddy coming in from out of town to do some dove hunting, but id be interested in knowing more about it for future reference/attendance!

Great looking tires! I've also been eyeing some cooper ST Maxx's.. not quite sure which way I want to go yet but most likely an all terrain so they're a little quieter since I do quite a bit of highway driving
