I need one final confirmation and any pertinent advice or help. I am going to go from 265/75/16 BFG All Terrains to 285/75/16 BFG All Terrains (or possibly Another all terrain tire). I just want to confirm that I will not need to do the cab mount chop. I realize I might need to do some minor trimming. My front mud flaps are already removed and I have 1st Gen mud flaps on the rear. I have Bilstein 5100s set at .85" with Eibach coils up front with new Toytec top plates. 5100s in the rear with a Deaver 1.5" AAL. So approx. 2.5" lift front and rear. I have researched this a ton, but seem to get mixed results on tire sizes. Like I said, I don't mind doing some MINOR trimming, but would like to avoid the CMC. I do very little off road driving, just some minor trail riding with occasional minor flex. Thanks

Just depends if your going flex it off road or if you are going to keep it on the streets. If you off road and flex at full lock you will rub. You will be fine if you are going to the mall...

I'm a dumbass and forgot to mention I have 1.25" Spidertrax spacers in the rear and 1.25" AllPro spacers up front. May change the comments?

I have that tire size but also All Pro UCA. I had to trim the plastics but no cab mount chop needed.

I had to chop when I went from 265 to 285. 1.25" spiders, but I was running BFG KM's. AT's may have less height. I was rubbing like F though. Just buy the wheels, and if you rub bad, go chop it. It's really not all that big of a deal.

Oh nvm, just saw u have a 2013. Still too new and shiny to cut and weld it :)

Also forgot to mention I also have Light Racing UCA's. Yeah I think I'm just going to say f@&k it and get 285's. If I end up having to chop, I'll chop. So next question....if I do end up chopping, anyone know a reputable shop to do it in the DFW area? Or is it something I can do myself? I have access to all the tools it would require, and I'm not too shabby of a welder. Is there a DYI CMC video or step by step thread? Thanks again

You need to plan to cut and trim and if you don't have to great.. don't go in expecting not too because you'll just be mad when you have to.

Get the 285's and see what happens. I only really rubbed at full lock and espc in reverse at lock. I ordered the pre cut plates from BAMF for like 20 bucks...

    This^

Get the plates from Jerry. Trace the plate w/a sharpie, cut with a cutoff wheel, line it up, tack it in, then fill. Spray w/ Berliner to hide the shameful welds. (Oh I guess that was just in my case :p)

Took me 45 min per side and my welding ability is none. Don't be skerrrred.

One last thing to add that I failed to say in my OP, I have the OR Alloy wheels that came stock. Don't know if that's going to be an issue with the 285's. Thanks again for everyone's help on this
