I went with bora because they have a full lifetime warranty. Spider Trax are also a good brand too.

I would run spider trax or such but I will have to run a lug centric spacer because of my manual locking hubs, I honestly have been looking at some eBay ones

Be careful with cheapo spacers. I have heard a lot of people running into balance issues and them just snapping. Something that holds your wheels to the truck you definitely want high quality. Spider Trax and bora's are hub & lug centric.

I'm running 285s with Icons set to 2" up front and 1" progressive AAL in the rear. Did the pinch weld mod like everyone else, but I do get a little frame rub at full steering lock. 285s will fit on a stock rear end too... I ran them for about a week before I installed my rear lift.

    Obligatory show off pic. :D

Anybody ever run the Kenda Klever m/t tire? Been looking into them lately and they seem to have decent price tags...

My father in law put them on his Jeep not too long ago... I think he likes them so far, but he doesn't drive it much its kind of a weekend rig. Idk how they'd be on a DD...

144 watt led lights on front 36 watts x2 led on the back, cb, Kenwood ham, icon 3" lift, 285/75/16 Fierce Attitude tires, JoeZilla sliders, 4x innovation rear bumper, ARB front bumper. Snorkel. On the workbench: more stuff I can't afford.
I'm running 285/75/16 on a 3" lift. Plus did 1.25" spider trax spacers. I had the 1.5" but, had more rubbing on the outside wheel wells. Now there is a little rubbing when bouncing over things but not much. Livable. Take a sledge hammer to the pinch welds and get them back about .25" there will be zero rubbing in that area. If you have flares, as I do, you will need to trim a little off the lower parts or your tire will pull it off. Also because of the flares, I moved the rear axle forward .75" so the tires stuffed more evenly in the wells. (Edit) Forgot, for tires I have the fierce attitude. Over 45k miles and only down to 10/32. Excellent tires good ride for an mt and low noise.

I'd personally wait to cut the flares and see if they rub...Mine never had an issue and never got ripped off with either the 285s or the taller 255s

Agreed to a point. OP is in a 1st gen, wheel wells are a little smaller. But yes, wait and see if the rubbing is too much then trim if desired. I don't know if OP has flares(?).

Yes I do have factory flares, and I will just wait till I get them mounted on and then see where it rubs at
