Good old trips to home depot will always happen, but I do take my rig out and I've started to do some more crawling, which obviously stuffs my tires. I wouldn't mind cmc, trimming and molding. But I don't want to cut fenders. If I have to go that far I'd rather get 255/80 since they measure in at 33.3 in vs 285/70 thats around 32.7 in. I just personally prefer the wider tire, and thats why I am really considering 285/75 to get the height and width.

I definitely think width causes more clearance issues than diameter. But, ain't gonna lie, loving the 34's. There are a lot of factors whether they'll clear for you or not though - usage, alignment, wheels, etc... But I'd be prepared to put in a little bit of work if you go this route. Which is sounds like you are....

It seems I am headed in that direction lol. I have a 2 in lift 6112/5160, SEMA wheels, & SPC UCA waiting for install to max out caster. I've done a lot of reading and am happy you posted; almost identical builds, wheels, and same size tire I've been looking at. I'm just hoping for a little luck in my trucks build variation to fit these 34's with the least amount of cutting. Now I'm just waiting for some specials on tires, possibly Memorial Day or the 4th of July.

I just installed the 285/75/R17's and set the caster to 3.5. Are there any harmful effects to pushing it that far forward?

Same here, been searching and searching

what I need to know : will zero offset work

    what I have : 2019 TRD off-road 3rd gen
    Bp-51 OME suspension 2.5-3ish
    SPC UCAs
C4 front bumper (clearance up front for days)

    Would like to add 285/75r17s

I can get a set of wheels on the cheaper side
    17x8.5 -0
Looks to have a 4.75 bs

I’m looking at the Ko2s but open to almost any type of tire that are similar

can’t seem to find a post with
    - offset
    - wheel size
    - wheel diameter
    - tire size (285/75r17)

would like to keep as close to fender as possible. I do not care much for the tires poking out. A tad is ok.

I believe you may have posted this in the wrong thread. This thread is dedicated to the 34" variety of 285's.

Truck looks good no matter what!

Looks like you chose the Yokohama's instead of the Nitto's as well.

Makes sense. I have had incredible luck with my nitto's. Extremely impressed, but getting ready to change things up again... just because.

Sorry for the post in the wrong thread. I was thinking about going 285/75r17 ..
But goes to show, lots and lots of work to make that happen. No problem on front of tire or even rub on UCA but possible tub and def. a cab mount relocation needed

285/75/17 methods 0 offset with 1.25 spacer. Here are the contact spots for me also have the CMC done and pinch weld bashed flat

I also have the flares removed and wheelers super bumps, it would definitely rub more if I had the flares on still
