Well id say 3" in the front and 4ish in the rear unloaded. I ran this size before I relocated the rear shocks and flipped the shackles as well.
    Wheels are 17x7.5 4.5BS

Most people are instantly assuming that the OP either meant 285/70r17 or 285/75r16

I tried to explain to some dude that I needed to trim more and he didn't have the same size 285 as me and he still argued with me, SMDH. Some people's children.

@WendyTaco Nitto released their new Ridge Grappler Monday in 285-75-17
C-Rated version. I emailed them about it and they said it weighs 65.4 lbs per tire.
Little heavier than I was hoping. Thought it would be a little lighter than that being C-Rated. Toyo AT2 285-75 E- Rated weighs 63 and Cooper ST Maxx 285-75 E-Rated weighs 64 lbs. just passing along the info in case your still looking.

Arb front bumper, warn winch, All Pro rear bumper, OME up front, OME and All Pro Standard in Back, ARB locker, 34 x 10.5 KO2's, 17" Level 8 Trackers, and fancy single piece driveshaft.
What gears you might want will depend on what kind of off roading and on road driving you do. I have 4.56's and 285/70/17's now, and I am trying to figure out if I want a slightly taller tire. As it sits, it spins a little fast on the freeway, and has great torque around town. It feels like a V8 in town. Most of my off roading is overlanding, so I don't really need gearing as low as I have off road. 4 Lo would be fine without re-gearing. If you crawl more, then I could see 4.56's or 4.11's. 4.11's would get you to pretty much stock gearing when you have 285/70/17's. There is a good gear ratio calculator on grimmjeeper.com.

I was also hoping the 285/75 ridge grappler C load would weigh less. The 34x10.5 D load KO2's are about 55 lbs, which is nice but they are $300 a tire.

Just ordered my 285/75R17 KM2's yesterday from 4 wheel parts (here Friday). With my 2.5" Bilstein lift shocks I'm expecting to cut and remove all the common items mentioned for this size. They are going to look awesome though. There really isn't a whole lot of pics of Tacomas on the net with these size. Didn't see any on YouTube

I have been trying to decide between 70's and 75' for a while and then an old buddy called yesterday and said he was putting a custom lift on his SuperDuty that was 16" of lift aired down and 26" of lift aired up with 46" tires. So 34" doesent sound so big after all.....

My 17x9 4.25BS Pro Comp steel wheels were on the front porch when I got home (33.8 lbs each). The 285/75R17 KM2's are 62.8 lbs a piece.

C'mon Friday and then trip to 4 wheel parts to hav'em mounted then:sawzall:without mercy
