I'm currently lookin at throwing on 285/75 16 cooper discovery stt on my '02 taco. Got a 3" coil in front and aal in the back from toytec. I have heard i can fit them on my stock rims then i heard ya cant for the tire. The shop says they should fit, i just dont wanna drop big coin on them and have them not fit

I hear from tire guys that for safety reasons you don't wanna put too tall a tire on that standard rim bead (maybe they can slip off?) but I wonder if you could get away with a much stiffer industrial type tire..but would you want the tires they use on city trucks?! Maybe you can find a cool deal here on rims in the buy/sell section? Not to mention your a little topheavier on turns with your new height? Just thinkin':)

Members here are running stock wheels with 285/75/16's and no major problems, but you will need 1.5" wheel spacers for the front.

Probably have to order them online. You'll need them for the tires to clear the UCAs.
