Thanks for the reply's, I do have 1.50 inch spacers on there know, as well as a 3 inch suspension lift, what would be a good size to compliment the lift without any mods and keep the stock rims

Without cutting anything, 265/70/17 If you are willing to do what I already outlined, then 285/70/17

What a shame about the Gauntlets. Good looking rims.

I have the same question too...

I want to run 285s when my tires run out, got 17x9 4.5 BS -12 mm offset on my rims. I have 1.75 in the front with 5100's, nothing in the back...

What's the best overall way to go if I wanna run 285s without buying too many extra parts?

Put the 5100's to 2.5" and start trimming away.

Would I have to do a cab mount chop? How much fender would I have to trim?

And how much lift should I get in the back?

I have a 2.5 level up front and with a bit of plastic chopping and mud flap removal I was able to stuff 285/75s under there... on wheels with 3.75 BS no less. So from everything I've seen and read on here, it's just a matter of trying to fit them and see what you gotta do to make it work. but so far for me, no cab mount chop.

You should note the width of the new wheels. That has just as much to do with how much they stick out as the backspacing does.

I looked at my truck and at 1.75 right now for some reason I am very very slightly lower in the front still. The rear is all stock mind you, no lift there. So if I bumped up to 2.5 what would I put in the back to keep it level? There aren't any half inch AAL from what I have seen... Maybe get a top plate spacer then get an AAL?
