    Lt tires have weight ratings, c-e. the higher the number the more weight they can handle. So e's are generally meant for heavy full size trucks. The higher the load rating the heavier the tire and the thicker the side wall is. When you add weight to your truck in the form of wheels and tires it can cause a power decrease. A rule of thumb i have heard is for every 10 pounds you add with wheels and tires its like adding 100 lbs in the bed. So if each wheel and tire combo is 10 pounds heavier than stock it is like having 400 lbs in the bed, thats why a lower load rating can be better for a small truck.
