I received my ship notification this morning. Thank you for organizing this, and letting late joiners get in on it too!

A few questions. What does the resistor do? Should it be mounted to metal to dissipate heat?
Can I use an output on my switch pros to activate this?

The resistor is a dummy load to make the 4x4 ECU think the add actuator is still connected. It normally sees no power and is already well oversized for the power it would dissipate. No need to mount it to anything. Just don't bury it so it gets no air.

Yes, I can tell you how to wire it to a switch pro.

The problem with Switch-Pros as I see it lies mostly with location. Assuming control pad in driver cubby it becomes a two handed operation. Which is a little annoying vs all right hand in overhead or lsp. But some might prefer that anyway.

Also, I have a mouser order coming with Jae connectors so I could maybe help out with a plug and play switchpros lead. The annoying part with that would be running from the engine bay through the firewall to the 2 low harness.

OEM style switch makes a lot of sense for this.

Daveesa why would this be a 2 handed operation. Activate the switch pros switch, then the 4wd dial. I dont have room for any more factory switches.

Do you have your switch mounted in the center console? I'm assuming it's to the left of the steering wheel as did he. Left hand to activate, right hand to switch the 4x4 selector.

If you don’t mind photos of your cubby and LSP I can try to think up other ideas.
MESO has a panel for the lower switch location, did you already do that?

Also the Qi switch is an easy one to forego.

There is something nice about line of sight on the 2 low switch when going back to 2 high from fake 4 high or 2 low. Vs throwing a code because you forgot to de-press.

I used the Qi location for GPS in motion override. I will rarely use 2Lo so I dont mind having it on the switch pros

I’m thinking ECT always on mod or maybe ECT via switchpros based on the ECT always on mod?

Assuming you want to keep the 12v socket, the most you can gain with a MESO LSP is one extra switch. Which doesn’t seem worth the effort. But it is an option.

    Are you ov tuned?

I can send you my center 2 switch panel for the overhead if you think you could extend the traction control off switch up there and move the gps one to driver cubby.

you are definitely packed up tight.

I think we all need to bug MESO for more switch panels in that front cubby space where the phone charger pad is.

All addresses resolved. The last few will go out tomorrow.

The last one until I get the rest of this batch in is still up for grabs.

What’s the difference between the automatic and manual harness?

Does the relay include illumination to the switch or is that a separate harness needing purchased?
