Hello all, has anyone had any issues with body mounts on 2nd gen’s? I have a 2010 double cab, bought new. I have a very annoying clunking sound around/under my pass side seat. I thought it was a rear shock busted at first but my dad rode with me the other day and said he could feel it under his seat. Just wondering if anyone has experienced or had issues with this… thanks y’all!

Don't assume just yet. And don't go by feel.

Have someone ride in the back seat, and use a spare piece of hose/tube to their ear so they can pinpoint where the sound comes from.

I would assume LCA bushing first before body mount

It’s not control arm bushings.. I actually just put new ones in for an alignment. U hear it in the middle of the truck. Sounds like underneath pass seat area. It occurs hitting bumps, I live on a dirt road and when I hit a bump that’s when the clunking sounds occurs. Thanks all

I have been chasing down same squeaking clunking sound, ball joints were good but saw this radiator support bushing. I will change this next weekend as last weekend I replaced rear main seal. I really hope this is it.

If you have a V6, look at the vertical supports on the catalytic converters, attached to the flanges downstream of the headers. They sometimes rust through at the flanges in a way that is difficult to see without tugging on the cats, and can cause mystery clunks that you can absolutely feel through the floor.

weird question but im investigating my truck rn for this noise. How do you get to these bushings? Did you go from under the truck or did you have to pull off the grille?

I have a bumper and fender chop. You would most likely have to remove fender liner or front bumper cover

Have you figured out the noise yet? I’ve got a similar clunking sound I only hear when going over bumps slowly that I can’t figure out. I thought it was a loose spare tire or the gas tank but it’s not either.
