Yea I think I will round them.
They will be welded along the back and top the bumper will bend/ rip off the frame before they come off.

Line-x or rhino liner for the main part then the expanded will be red to match the accents on my rims

I haven't decided if the skid will be aluminum or steel yet though. If aluminum I might leave it unpainted.

We'll if you build one make a thread I would love to see how you build yours. It has been really easy just time consuming and that is one thing I don't have a lot of. Building my own let me justify buying a welder though so to me the time spent is worth it.

Yea steel will be stronger for sure. I'm just trying not to weigh the front end down too much. Right now the bumper/ light bar setup I can pick up with one hand so steel skids would probably be fine. I'm also in the middle of building a press break so that might help with making the skids.

Okay, so people I know keep telling me bed liner will look bad on my bumper. My question is what do you guys think should I just spray bomb it that way I can touch it up whenever I want. Bed liner will cost about $200 and so far I've still only spent about $165 on this bumper including all the steel, the expanded, and light bar. Another thing I've been thinking about is I don't know if it's worth it to pay the $200 to Bed liner it. So basically what have you guys painted this kind of thing with and are you happy with how your finish came out. One more plus to spray paint would be I could have it on and be driving my truck until spring then finish the skid plate setup.

Also I plan on building sliders and a rear bumper and I'll want all the finishes to match. So keep that in mind on what will look good.

I had mine sprayed with FMJ Bedliner and I friggan love it. I would say if you will be offroad, that may not be the way to go, simply because of trying to touch up all the time.
