Drew up the hole for my receiver.

image.jpgThen started thinking about where I was going to find a 2 1/2" x 1/4" square tube.... Well looks like I'm recycling again.

image.jpg The side tube is the same size as the receiver so that will work out well.

    Bumped bolted on.

    Tail gate up:

    image.jpg

    Tail gate down:

image.jpgIt's hard to see since it's so dark out but with the tail gate down the bumper has about a 3/8-1/2" inch gap. This was as high as I was comfortable mounting it.

The rear will be heavier, but I'm making it heavy intentionally because I do a lot of winter driving.

The front is 3/16" steel plate and 1/8" x 1 3/4" Dom tubing. The rear is all 1/4" thick

1/4" is overkill but weight in the back helps a lot in the winter. Plus I plan on respringing it anyways.

That'll be why it's light. You should start facing those you'll make coin on them.

That would be a great idea. One never knows when one could use some air to fill a tire

What have you got in the rear now? Do you have blocks or add a leaf?

Yea I'm also considering putting an air ride system in the rear for when I'm hauling a trailer.

It has 3" blocks but I'm going to build a shackle flip and get new springs, ever since I got recall done my ass end is dragging horribly. It looks like garbage.

I'm thinking of ome leafs. I've called other places like Alcon but the people were pretty rude and didn't seem like they wanted my money. Or I might try some springs out of a half ton with custom length shackles.
