Anyone have any knowledge of how many rotations these can withstand? I'm replacing my steering rack and linkage...and forgot to fix the wheel while centered. I'm in a situation where I know how many turns it's at with somewhere between 1/2 to 1 turn confidence. Toyota parts has $50 off $200 promo going on currently, has me wondering if I should just get one to be safe.

Or..can I pull the wheel and see when it's centered on the clockspring itself..?

Depending on the problem, it might. Here's a thread where I dealt with the same thing, replaced the clock spring, and it fixed the problem.
