so i have 2 JL w3v3 8" subs from my last truck, i want to go ahead and use them in my new truck which is a 2nd gen double cab. (who would have guessed it with a title like this one ha)

the top mount depth is under 5" so i believe i should have plenty of clearance there.
id like to go with a ported box since i do not have a ton of power going to them from my amp. 300w rms total according to the manual.

I have only see one thread of 2 8" subs in a ported box in a double cab.

with these subs what should the box be tuned to for optimum performance?

would it be safe to assume with the limited space behind the seats that a round port is likely what ill have to end up running?

Manufacturer's recommendation is a good starting point. The JL website has a design that is tuned to 35 Hz that should fit well in a double cab. If you're putting both subs in a common volume, then you need the port area that is recommended for a single sub. Port length stays the same. I would stick with a round port. Slot ports are a little more difficult to build and take up more internal volume.
