    Hi, I used this thread

    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/technical-chat/19468-05-drl-enable-disable-switch.html

to wire the on/off switch to my drl. i know the switch usually lights up (I have used it with other accessories) The switch also works fine switching my drl on/off, but I can't seem to get the switch to light up with my drl. I have tried 3 different grounds that usually work, but can't get the switch to light up.

    I am using this switch

    http://www.oznium.com/scion-switch-led

does anybody think that there may be not enough power running from the drl relay?

so i messaged another member, "tacoma mike"

this is what he shared with me, just wanted to share it with you guys in case anybody else was wondering

"The wire you cut is a sensor wire. not a 12 volt source.
so no power or ground per say.
there is another thread of a lighted switch somewhere but he used like 6 wires to power the light in the switch and activate the lamps.
i have a micro switch under the dash. Thats all you really need. But if you have your heart set on a lighted switch the switch you have is not compatable."

DRL mod with switch, rear spring TSB, trans TSB, tailgate mod, snug-top shell.
Try reversing the cut wire at terminals 2 & 3.
One side of the cut wire may be 12V and terminal 2 is paralleled with the lamp input internally, then switched through the lamp to ground when operated.

    Worth a try anyway.

If the wire is not 12V you will need to get the Toyota switch with 4 terminals instead I would think.

    Good luck,
    Vaughn

thanks for your help warpwr, i did try to switch terminals 2 and 3, (I couldn't remember if the dRL stayed lit, or didn't light at all) so the switch only wants it in 1 way :)
