2nd Gen LCA Bushings - Recommendations?

    2015 Taco Offroad crew cab.

    Looks like I blew out one of my Lower Control Arm Bushings -

    Tacoma world searches are at least 6 months old.

    I see MOOG brand, and Whiteline online. Looks like all the Poly "Energy Suspension" require a lot of work, and reuse hardware.

    Looking for something that will be bolt on, but not looking to replace the whole LCA.

    What are your suggestions/recommendations?

    I went with whiteline. I cant comment on the others. Just make sure you grease the hell out of everything!

    Ask me...
    Whether you go back with stock style rubber or poly/delrin bushings; neither will be bolt-on in comparison to installing a new LCA (with regards to time/effort spent).

    New bushings would require R&I of the LCA and R&R of the bushings.

    New LCA, just R&R of the LCA.

    How are you determining you blew out a LCA bushing? Is it ripped or torn? pics?

    I've replaced the LCA bushings with poly. It's not an easy task unless you have a press. If I was making a recommendation, I would stay with OE rubber bushing.

    Thanks Everyone - I bought Moog brand online from Suspension.com. You need K200772 for the front, and K200773 for the back of each LCA. So buy 2 of each to replace both Driver and Passenger side LCA bushings - Cost me $10 - with USPS Priority shipping.

    To answer CROM's questions -

    First, I noticed the alignment was pulling tot he left/ passenger side. Then I noticed a distinct clunk metal sound when I went over a speed bump. Steering also seemed to be slightly sloppy. Visual inspection, I could not see anything obvious. So I took it to a local auto shop here where the owner is a friend. He put it up on the rack, and found the wheel loose, and then found the bushing damaged. I trust his judgement.

    Good luck with the Moog bushings. Many reports said that they fit too loose. I run their ball joints in the upper and lower control arms, no issues with those.

    How have the Whiteline bushings been? About to tackle this job and replace mine with Whiteline bushings.

    I blew out most all of my UCA / LCA bushings, looked for some replacements, and then said F it, and used the sotuation as an excuse for buying long travel... :anonymous:

    And as for signs of bushing wear (more extreme cases like mine) : wheels will shutter back and forth in the wheel well on take off and coming to a stop.

    Where did you guys find whiteline bushings for 2nd gen? Their website has nothing for our model truck. I used to run whiteline ball joints tie rod ends and rack n pinion bushings on my evo when I had it and were huuuge improvement on everything from driving straight to being very precise in steering.

    Also, anyone know if there is something like a Perrin PSRS (positive steering response system) for the taco? this mod combined with above made the difference in my previous car's steering/handling

    Had I known my bushings were seized before I installed my Kings, I would have gone LT since the shocks are the same price, the LCA cost is the only difference basically.

    Not that I want to deter you from LT but you could go with a stock length lower. There’s Solo, TC, Dirt King and LSK (lsk coming soon).

    I know stock lowers exist. But for like 200 extra dollars, you'd get LT. I'll prob still go TC LCAs
