2nd Gen Leaf Spring Hardware Advice. Please Help

Picking up some general spring HDs tomorrow. I'd like to but replacement eye bots in advance. Planning on cutting everything off to save time. I've heard that I can go to Home Depot or Loews and get grade 8 bolts that work just fine... anyone done this before? If so, what are the specifics. Thank you for any input.

BUMP... going to pick up the leaf springs this afternoon...in a Home Depot parking lot. Would love to pick up the hardware there instead of the stealership.
