Thanks I didn't read all the posts and just saw that there were flywheel and clutch compatibility issues

What flywheel and clutch combos are people going with for NA Tacomas?

Made some progress, hopefully putting the drivetrain back together and connecting the clutch lines this week. I had some slight wear on the quill shaft, but nothing to be overly concerned about. Also got 2 new dowel pins in the back of the engine block and removed the stuck ones from the transmission bell housing using a torch and vice grips.

Still unsure where to tap into the OEM clutch line for the feed; I'm thinking where the rubber line turns to a hard line at the top of the engine bay.

My truck has ~55k miles on it, although I broght it back in way back in 2011 time frame for the "TSB throwout bearing" fix. That fix lasted for about a year before the squeal was back again.

Thanks for the link, i had read through that before, all I see for the tacoma is "The Tacoma clutch feed line does not go to the back of the transmission, instead it goes straight up the firewall. The feed line we send will work for both applications". Did not see a picture of where folks were tapping into, there are 2 spots I see that could be used. I wanted to eliminate the soft line and connect right at the brake booster if possible. Reading through here it seems that is possible, just wanted to make sure the thread types are all the same throughout the transition from the brake booster to the stock slave cylinder.

Actually, after going back several pages and searching for "accumulator", somebody uploaded this pic. I modified it with where I think it should connect to. This would eliminate the rubber hose as well as the accumulator.

That's the FJ cruiser at the back of the transfer case

You have alot of extra slack connecting it there versus up at the firewall?

oh yeah, got a lot of slack. it reaches all the way up, but like i said, didn't feel like searching for the right line. dark ass garage and i was already on day 2 of this shit getting installed cuz of the transmission not wanting to mate up. so said fuck it, i know it plugs in there. got it bled with no issues and adjusted the pedal with no issues either

mine had enough slack that i ended up running the braided line all the way to the clutch master cylinder

To all the people changing the flywheel. What about changing out the rear main seal behind the flywheel? Does this seal start leaking at a certain mileage on our tacomas?

I'd say if you have over 100k to just change it while it's out. Mine had 55k and was leaking, so I'm changing it out.

Well my clutch was slipping in the higher gears with a brand new clutch 8k miles on it. I say “was” cause now it’s holding. The only thing I’ve done recently is change my idler bearings and crank pulley. And the crank pulley is my thought. Cause when I was tightening the crank bolt with my 4ft breaker bar I had it in 6 gear. And the crank turned some while tightening that crank bolt up. Could that have helped better match up my pressure plate to the flywheel?!

Glad I jumped on the GB. Started my sons truck this morning and, squeak squeak, there it is.
I bought this preemptively because the truck has 120k and had no idea when or if the clutch had been replaced. It's also very stiff compared to other Tacoma's. Hopefully this with the new clutch fixes all of these issues.

Don't see a group buy active or in the recent history on the forum. Prepping to do my clutch and having thoughts of doing this as well. Where is/was this group buy? Thanks!
