2nd Gen OEM Headlights

Looking for help. My 2nd Gen 2011 Tacoma dual cab Off Road has toasted headlights. Looking to replace them with OEM. Most sources like EBay say 2005-2011 all the same. However asking another source says changes between years with 2009-2011 are the only compatible years. Has anyone here actually done a swap to 2011 from a pre 2009 taco?

$365 dealer quoted OEM 2011 specific- almost choked.

I found a used set from a 2005 in very nice shape but not sure they’ll fit.

 

05-11 all interchangeable.

12-15 won’t fit your truck.

 

Only difference among 05-11 are the TRD SPORT SMOKED HEADLIGHTS, I believe started in 09 but I could be wrong. Those fit as well.

 

I was in the same boat last year but wanted to keep the smoked lights that my TRD Off Road came with. They’re all interchangeable from 05-11 though. I decided to go with the cheap Amazon copies, and they’re peeling already.

So now I’m trying to track down the OEMs at a reasonable price. The part number for the smoked/sport headlight is 81110-04173. Try putting that part number into google and you’ll find plenty of people selling them. Replaced the headlights on my 07 Offroad with these oem smoked ... (came on the 09-2011 Sport but will fit the 2005-2011 Sport and Offroad. Got them online from Boch Toyota South... OEM part# 81150-04173 / 81110-14173.
