I'm going with the Total Chaos 3.5" control arms and want to get some heim joint steering rod ends. I cannot seem to find any upgraded rods to go along with them, I heard All Pro stopped making the rods because it damaged the steering rack. Is this true, if not does anyone know who makes upgraded rods? Or does everyone just use Moog components?

Can't find it right now but there is a company that makes a tab that can be welded on OEM spindles to convert it to heim steering as well.

Just have to measure and make sure you get the correct length tie rod, or maybe someone who has done it can help you out. I've been looking around lately because I'm about to go LT

Perfect! I never would've thought of a website like Kartek, im surprised the bigger companies don't supply them. I have damn near everything else booked marked and waiting for funds, but these were driving me crazy to locate.

I heard the same thing about all-pro not making them anymore because people were blowing through steering racks and it was cheaper to bend an oem tie rod...

Hopefully someone else see's this thread and can link you to that tab for the spindle to convert it to heim steering

    This.

Solid steering is a nice upgrade and does make a significant difference in feel but its 1000x easier to swap a tie rod than change a whole rack especially in BFE. Average lifespan of a steering rack on my old truck was approx 6 months with average dirt time. I’ll find a good pic of my setup but you can kinda see it here. Camburg inner Clevis and custom spindle with 1” 4130 and 3/4 heims.
