Thank you for the explanation, I have finally figured out the diagram, DUH my bad.

This is the mod for me as I will be tickled pink to have heated mirrors and the courtesy light is just a plus.

Thanks for your sharing this with us.

    Hey,

I was told that some Tacoma owners are going through the modifications that I did with my Highlander. Sorry, but I don't own a TACOMA. I would get one if I could. Love that truck.

    Anyhow,

Here are pictures of my mirror modification and a video.

Here is the Sienna Limited Mirror plug, 2011+ models and the 2008+ highlander limited mirror plug. Notice how many more wires the sienna limited mirror mount has......P1200003-1_b57383e04bd46a13049bb5d0d3f2245ce3e3814d.jpg 16 wires vs. 7.

Here is a link to the Toyotanation website where I have been posting my modificaiton help......http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/122-2nd-generation-2008/373998-puddle-light-mirrors-base-highlander.html

Good luck and I will be available for questions.

    Thanks!

Nope. Still for sale. But haven't re-listed on ebay. Any takers?

Skygear is right. There is reverse tilt and auto dimming. plus heat, and memory. But haven't got around to hooking any of that up. However, when I wired my mirrors, I ran about 4 extra stray wires through the door so that I could hook up the auto dimming and heat anytime I wanted.

Also, the Sienna mirrors come with a different control, see picture. 2011-toyota-sienna-limited-power-mirror-_bc176a4ace56f2220fc79612602336e123480889.jpg

You can see the switches are almost similar except that the sienna switch cover plate is a different color. The one that I got is is black/grayish in color.

The sienna one is light gray matching the interior trim of the sienna limited.

I suppose it may fit the highlander or match in color too, but we got to check on that.

You could also paint the cover plate as it comes off from the switches itself.

    Good luck.

Wonder if the 2012 sport tacoma mirrors with built in turn signals would be a direct bolt on for a 2011 tacoma double cab?

Last I heard the OP was still trying to figure out how to get the power fold feature to work...that would be very nice, especially in the very tight parking spots where I live.

So, I finally got my 4runner mirrors installed and wired up. I bought one of the mirrors used on ebay for $147 shipped and the other new for $179.70 shipped. Then I had to buy the covers, switch, plug, wires, and other misc items. This is not a cheap mod, but very well worth it for me.

When I moved overseas, I had to install front side marker turn signals on my front fenders to pass the inspection. Needless to say, those needed to go asap.

I also love the puddle light feature. It is a nice touch when approaching the truck. I found some of the guys on the 4runner forum who swapped out the bulbs for LEDs. Here is a link for anyone who wants to see how to change the bulbs. It is a little more involved than you might think, but not hard at all.

    (2) WLED-WHP9-T: Cool White = $25.90 (puddle lights)
    http://www.superbrightleds.com/cgi-...ion=DispPage&Page2Disp=/specs/WLED-WHP9-T.htm

Also, if anyone needs the white plug for the Highlander heated mirror switch, I have one. Toyota Highlander Mirror Switch plug Part No. 90980-10789
Just pm me and send a couple bucks through paypal and I can get it shipped out asap.

Did you ever figure out the power fold feature? Also, some of the Sienna mirrors have auto dim, all you have to do for that is hook it up to the auto dim rear view mirror in the cab.

from what I've read so far seems like the only 2 mirrors that'll directly bolt on to the OEM Tacoma bracket is the Highlander and 4Runner mirrors.

member on this thread just swapped out his with a Sienna mirror. I'm guessing just the mirror not the whole housing. post #178 Pg.9.
    http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-tacomas/193528-oem-heated-mirrors-diy-mod-9.html

I'm not sure if this thread have been mention, but here's another one. there's info out there but only at limited amount. I think it does get pricey so not a lot of members have done it. idk I might be wrong??

I'm not sure if that's possible or not. Looks like they change the design. Same as the current RAV4.

Compared to a 2013. Fits perfectly to the Tacoma bracket.
