I'm wondering if it's as easy as just taking the motor from say a Sienna or Sequoia side mirrors, and transferring it to my 4Runner mirrors. I guess wishful thinking haha.

I do want to try it and see if it works. Been searching here and there.

Not that easy. I have the sienna mirrors and the T4R mirrors here in front of me. Not so lucky. However, they are ALL Gentex product.

skygear- any update(s) on that power folding side mirror?

I'm still on the hunt for a mirror that has a motor in it, hoping to transfer the motor into the T4R mirrors.

Sorry, no. Abandoned it, well, set it on the back burner. It can be done. I do not believe there will be any direct bolt on solutions though. My access to other vehicles and parts is limited right now. I do have the sienna mirors if you want them to continue the work...

Oh, fukc. Your in HI... Might be cheaper for me to just finish the project instead of paying shipping.

While at the meet this weekend, I will take a look at the line up and make some measurements.

I have all of the internals. The mounts do not line up at all with the base that is on the tacoma.

SIMILAR. I will snap photos again. It is a Gentex product. Both are. But not the same. The MIRRORS are. Not the housings though.
