I thought they did? Pretty sure a VF Tuner guy told me they could. They probably all have the same access. Pinging @JustDSM

Mine is busted. Most of which wouldn't come apart either. It's turned off and plugged at a point. Need an exhaust shop to block the header then I'll attempt to pull the rest.

The brake pedal sensor has a different shaped plug on the gx460. Before I was about to cut the wires and solder the tacoma plug on I decide to take the brake pedal sensor plug off of the gx. It mounts exactly the same, nice.

Okay this is how I did the wiring behind the steering column. This wiring is of the accelerator pedal, brake pedal, parking brake pedal, brake flasher relay, headlight level computer (I don't need this one but I think I need it plugged in to prevent a notification from coming up). I will unplug it and see if anything comes up. If I don't need it I will get rid of it. Everything clears, nothing touches the steering shaft and everything is very securely fastened.

Curious, were any of the wire harnesses in areas of damage on the Lexus and if so, did you check for continuity of individual wires from end to end?

Front right door was pinched really good at the door hinge. It just to happened I needed to cut and resolder there anyway to add the rubber door grommets. No wires were torn but some had damage to the insulation. I soldered and heat shrinked as needed. There were no other obvious pinch points or damage. I will connect all the plugs, power on the engine and check all systems before final assembly.

Great swap! Lose the stock 4.6 log style exhaust manifolds, if possible? The Tundra 5.7 manifolds will bolt to the heads, have a MUCH better tri-Y design, retain the air injection, are cheap, and the converters unbolt. Will they sneak in the frame and body work?

That does sound appealing but at this point I am over budget and gotta save my money for the paint job. Additionally in this market, buying those cats would be expensive. I think I might need to buy a new transmission cooler so I might do the cooler mod suggested above. The design of the stock manifolds probably has something to do with how tight it is in ther anyway. They hug the transmission bell housing so much, that you can't take the tranny off with taking the manifolds off lol.

Well I started tearing down the Tacoma dash harness to extract all Tacoma climate control system. I kept the wiring diagram open on my laptop to reference while tearing down. At first I was really intimidated but as I was pulling these out it didn't seem so bad. I definitely will need to get an aftermarket fuse box for the climate control system.

So I have been thinking about how to tackle the ACT voltage discrepancy. What if I got a 5V relay and hooked it up to ACT from the lexus ECU and grounded the negative pin. Then take a 12v ignition source and hook it up to the switchable pins of the relay. The switchable 12v will then go to Tacoma AC Amplifier and get the 12v it is looking for. Let me know what you think about that.

Okay Guys I need help, terminal number 8 doesn't exist on the diagram . The green wire with the white line. It runs towards the fuse box so I am assuming it's probably the back lighting of something. How can I find what it does? This plug connects to the climate control switches and is not the blower control wires because those are thicker.

    Thanks,

I was thinking try it like it is, it may work. It just depends what the voltage threshold in the A/C Amplifier is to disable the compressor.

I got all wires pulled out of the main harness. I need to get some masking tape and start labeling whats what. Anybody have a recommendation for a good aftermarket fuse box?

Slow progress this week but I am working on sorting out the climate control wires. This weekend I'd like to throw in the dash harness to start fastening it down.

First observations with the dash harness, these plastic boxes are nice they even plug into the crash bar quite nicely but there are two junction boxes that interfere with the HVAC vents. Some trimming will be in order and I'll figure something on how to mount them. I am feeling like I don't want to deal with this too much so I might just go to town with electrical tape and tape them into the harness.
