Realized I was partially blocking the engine harness hole with this relay box bracket. I relocated it higher. Also I had to modify this bracket by the battery to hold the harness so that it clears.

The transmission is going in on Saturday.
Some interesting observations I made today. From the bell housing to the forward transmission mount hole is 2 feet on both the a750f and a760f. However the tacoma crossmember is different and the transmission mounts are different. I am hoping, that some combination of these units on the stock location of cross member mounting point that this will work out without having to chop them. We won't know until it is bolted in relative to my engine mount location.

What's the difference in length between the two bellhousings? Or are they the same?

It is hard to tell exactly without unbolting them but they look pretty close to being the same.

The A750 has different bell housings depending on whether it’s behind the 1GR or 2UZ

You can recoup the build cost with a couple hidden cameras and a YouTube channel where you take it to random mechanics.

Well at first I thought the holes are close enough to try to use the tacoma transmission mount but then I realized the oil pan won't clear the cross member. So I got to work on plasma cutting the transmission crossmembers off. I will be using the lexus crossmember because it has an exhaust hanger bolted to it. Transmission bolted up just fine, everything clears!

Does anyone know what type of fitting this is? This thermostat is expensive and I'd rather not have to buy a new one just because of this fitting.

Random stuff. Oh! and converted to non ADD 4x4.
Can you thread the piece and install a double threaded fitting in there?

This is a good idea, just tap it for 1/4" NPT and run a barbed fitting there.

I could but I'd rather not potentially contaminate the channels with aluminum chips.
