There should be an initial gush of fluid when you drop the plug, then you close up when you get a trickle. If you didn’t get the gush, you probably need to add another quart and go through the check process again.

I guess I should elaborate. Yesterday at 50 deg C I drained off about 1 gallon in park and engine idling. I initially filled 3 gallons total. Today I decided to check again to make sure I didn't get erroneous data from my connection screw up. I put my pump in the fill hole, opened the check plug at 46.5 deg C a trickle started coming out. I pumped in about 1/3 of a quart to really make sure it was at level. Lots of fluid came out down to a small trickle. I closed the plug. Tranny temp was at 48 deg by the time I was done. All good.

Looks and sounds incredible man. Can’t wait to see everything buttoned up. I’ve been working for days in my truck and it feels like no progress has been made. The last 10% take 90% of your time…

Yep going to have to get some inner strength to get hvac and SRS system sorted out. Then it's off to the paint shop.

    You’re painting it caviar right?

how much is it going to cost you? I’ve been getting quote from 15-20k for Lexus paint.

Yes, I will be painting caviar. I have a friend at work who paints aircraft parts and used to paint aircraft. He said it would be 4-5k depending how much body work he has to and cost of paint. Here is some of his work. He is very meticulous and said that his process will take several months. It is not a turn and burn shop, this is something he is passionate about which is exactly the type of job I am looking for.

Dang. Wish I knew someone out here to do that for me. Caviar will be sweet. We have a caviar IS500 with white inteiror at my dealer and it looks so good. Makes me want to trade in the incognito for it, a little.

I love the caviar color. In the sun the flakes shine so much it looks it looks grey, yet from another angle it looks black. With the TRD pro grill, color matached door handles, rear bumper, and mirror caps it will look amazing.

How do you get your OBD2 in your android radio?. I haven't found any OBD2 app compatible with android auto.

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!

Just got the rear driveshaft on. I also painted it with spray max epoxy paint and put a new spicer boot on. New spicer greasable u joints too. Greased with Amsoil NLGI #2 grease.
