I recently swapped out my 07 red (pink) tinted tail lights for the newer led style (led stock knock off) tail lights from eBay. Everything worked fine for at least a month until some friends behind me noticed that my brake lights weren't working today. I went through with the work day and reversing into my parking spot after work I noticed the brake light were working off the reflection. Pulled forward and did the same thing and they didn't work.

Anyone have advice? I read about a ground issue from a post a couple years ago but I can find the connection that supposedly grounds on the bumper.

Do your collision avoidance lights on the cab work? If they work that means your brake light switch is good, of course also check fuses.

It was the brake switch under the gas pedal. Phew

Why do you have a brake light switch under the Gas Pedal?

    That doesn't make any sense...

Amazing. I've had this problem for the last 3 weeks and have been using the override button. Didn't even realize it was connected. All I did yesterday to fix the brake lights was adjust the switch location so that it's tighter to the pedal. After that the adjustment my shifter started working. Thank you for the heads up. This community is amazing.
