Ok, I'm running into a common problem and it's repeatedly happening too often.
People sit in my passenger seat and somehow they end up putting their feet on the blower motor or blower resister even after I've repeatedly told them to be careful of it. I've even gone as far as to pull over and threaten to leave someone on the side of the road (Not far from his house), because he's a repeat offender.
So, now I'm about to replace the blower, blower plug, resister and resister plug for the 3rd time since I've owned the truck. All of this could be avoided if there were a panel that covers the parts that get kicked around and cause poor contacts and burning.

Does anyone know of a panel or maybe something others have done to protect the blower parts? If not, then I guess I will add that project to my list.
    Thanks

I know exactly the spot you are describing. It's a pain in the ass they couldn't even make a cover considering the sensitivity of the area and the high traffic that hangs out around it. There is no cover, so you may have to make one yourself unfortunately.

I’ve never seen a panel made for that reason.
You’ll need to fab one yourself.

I’ve had pretty large guys with big feet in my truck.
As well as 2 kids for 11 years. Never had an issue with people hitting anything?
    Maybe I’ve been lucky?

When you replace the parts, are they physically broken or damaged?
What’s usually the cause of the problem?

Resister plug on the left and Blower motor plug on the right.

That's pretty standard stuff of those years.

The issue seemed to improve on the later gen models (2011-2015) but the issues were still there.

Best solution. Don't let repeat offenders ride with you, or put them in the rear seat.
