Nice try, but the person making these posts doesn’t try searching for keywords.

But I am creeped out by Super Tech oil, even though I’m sure it’s fine. Just feels wrong.

See a lot of people saying OEM filter. Just curious why that is. I’ve been using Mobil 1 full synthetic and either a Purolator Boss Filter or Mobil 1 Extended Performance filter. Just curious why a lot of recs for the oem filter.

    Personal preference.

An argument could be made to use OEM for warranty purposes, but it’s easy to stick a hole in that argument per Magnuson-Moss.

I gotcha. I just read further up the thread and someone said out of a test of a lot of filters OEM had better filtration. Good to know!

Just my personal preference, I started out using mobile one filters, nothing wrong with them.

5qts I believe is the oil change for a full tank of gas. I like to throw some wd40 in there also for some detergent effect

One can never have too many light bars.
I also add DEF fluid to my gas because I care about reducing emissions to help protect the environment.

Used fryolater oil is good for gaskets and seals. Stops any pesky leaks.

I switched ti Amsoil after running castrol prior and due to its thinner nature, it's started creeping out of my valve covers. Probably began breaking down the castrol syn grime on the inside and is finding little holes in my 18yr old gasket.

Moral of the story imo: start with a good oil and stick with it. Changing oils often can be hard on seals/gaskets over time.

I'm pretty positive that any oil is fine, with oil change intervals being more important than anything....but I'm still a butthurt for Pennzoil ultra platinum per redfarm testing. Even if it's placebo in terms of how the motor feels, I think it's worth it
