Good stuff in here, gives me hope for little taco.
Any thoughts about doing a tune after intake, header and exhaust

Any time you can tune for your mods, i think there are some benefits to be had. Although i dont have the knowledge to dial things in myself, so id need to get some help from someone else. Im really hoping HP tuners offers some support soon for the 2TR, id like to have mine tuned as well. When my truck was n/a still, i was planning on getting a tune for my intake, header, and running 93 fuel, but i went forced induction before following through on that. I do think there would be some gains to be had though if you got a custom tune for your modifications. Every truck is a little different too, so there is that to take into account when tuning as well. Logging and refining it based on your truck's data is a good way to yield the best results for your setup

Forced induction would be awesome, but not in the budget any time soon, have to stick to the bolt ons. Also would like add a mid pipe to the above list as well. As far as the tuning goes i have no knowledge or experience in the matter, but there is dyno/tuning shop down the street from me, though I'd give em call after everything was said and done and see how much they charge me.

Helped with a clutch install on my friend's 2TR, this past weekend. 2015 model. He purchased it a little over a year ago.

Came with the URD supercharger kit, and what we found out, a Competition Clutch Stage 3 as well. With an LCE Heavy flywheel. Not sure of how many miles the kit nor clutch have on them, since there was no paperwork of installation date.

Didn't get many pictures, unfortunately. What I did get was the disk that came out.

    IMG_20200201_185247987.jpg IMG_20200201_185310211.jpg IMG_20200201_192812_01.jpg

If you pay close attention, the pressure plate side was nearly worn completely out. The flywheel side was not, and had amply material left.

He had complained of having some slippage. That would be why.

    Points to be shared:
    Competition Clutch Stage 3

The clutch pedal took a large amount of force, to depress. Very heavy pedal.
Clutch engagement and slippage off the line were easy to navigate, independent of the pedal pressure.

    LCE 6 puck clutch,

Pedal pressure is much closer to OEM ease. Spring pressure seems a bit non linear.

Clutch slippage during break-in phase is challenging. Clutch wants to grab and go, without slipping. Lots of confidence in torque capacity. Referring to the non linear pedal feel, there is a sweet spot to learn right now, but may improve as clutch breaks in and making it easier to slip. Installed with LCE lightweight flywheel.

Would take the LCE clutch setup over the Competition Clutch Stage 3 any day, from pedal pressure needed to engage, alone.

Nice work! Did yall install the LCE pro or the dual comp clutch? I remember my LCE dual comp grabbing hard and being like an on-off switch as well. Clutch pedal feel was lighter than stock from what i remember which i did enjoy.

    our software is ready.
    Set to launch in March.
    2.7L pricing $419
comes with tuning cable, editor, logger, support, software guide, tuning guide
flash support for your ECU ID
new ECU IDs can be credited as well.

We would like to know what year 2.7Ls we should consider first. We've already got 05 and a few others.

Not sure how they are grouped, as compared to the 1GR's. I would like to be able to tune a 2015 model.

I'm a 2nd gen, 2013. I'm holding out for either you or HPTuners. I already have my SAIS bypassed, but would love to see native disabling of that and the rear O2...maximum freedom lol

    Still thinking about it.
What have you guys learned about the reliability under boost on stock internals? Seems to me that the engine is 'overbuilt and underpowered' due to it's state of tune from the factory. Is this the case? Do you know of supercharged 2TR-FEs that are accumulating trouble free miles for the long haul?

Stock engine outlasted the Rotrex at ~12 psi. Lol.

^ This. There have been multiple reports of Rotrex superchargers giving out.

Based on information out of SE Asia, the stock internals are good to about 400 whp. At that level and above, you need to eliminate the balance shaft for reliability.

The good thing is, a replacement new one is cheaper from overseas than here.
