I wonder if they'll work in the factory rod though? Did you already put those rods in?

Are you keeping the factory rods with your turbo build?

Very good sir. Good to compare to the ones in the Pauter Rods.

I have been planning on doing the paradise racing forged rods, although I did find a listing on aliexpress for "performance" rods at like $60 a piece

The fact that you have a "rebuild box" and not a "rebuild room" says a lot about your level of rebuild vs my parts hoarding... I'll measure my stock ones since the ones you have may be different.

I bet those are some quality pieces:D

I'll bet we have an equally bad problem hoarding parts, i just haven't torn apart my spare motor yet so you've got that taking up way more real estate lol. But yeah i ordered my rods from LCE. Not sure how similar or different the paradise racing ones are. if you end up ordering those, i'd be interested in comparing the two..

Just be cautious with Paradise Racing. If the parts are on the shelf, good. Otherwise, go through LCE.

Always a history of customer complaints, depending on how in-depth a project is. Unless you live right by them.

LS1 header studs installed. They are a little longer than stock, but they worked on my 2005 motor. It looks like they bottom out before catching on the lip in the middle of the stud, but i didnt have any issues getting the header tightened down. If you buy the ARP 434-1301 header stud kit, you’ll have 4 left over as the 2TR-FE only requires 8.

@BassAckwards , how many PSI were you running, when you started having your head gasket issues, that required you to get the head studs?
Also, were the 2TR ARP head studs the exact same as the 3RZ head studs? Say, available from LCE?

Both motors with the HG issues were running about 10psi max with the stage 2 urd kit.

Yes the ARP head studs are exactly the same as the 2RZ/3RZ and i bought mine through LCE. There are 8 that are the same length, and then the front 2 are slightly shorter. Heres a pic with mine installed, the instructions say to install the front two nuts flush with the top of the studs

Has anyone running the MAPECU3 had issues with the truck going into limp mode after banging it off the rev limiter for a smidge longer than usual?

I shifted as quick as i could but after releasing the clutch the CEL just kept flashing and the trac off light was solid. Also had absolutely no power.. i turned it off while i was still moving around 40mph and turned it back on but still had the same issue after clearing the p0300. I had to pull off, turn the truck off, let it sit about 30 seconds and then everything was normal again when i cranked it back up.

This is the first time it has gone into what felt like limp mode after hitting the limiter. I thought uncle rodney came to visit at first, i about shit my breeches lol. Just curious if anyone else has experienced this? I dont usually hold it on the limiter like that, but i have was trying to work on the tune some and had my eyes glued to the AFR & boost gauges

    A thing or two...
Do you have IGF wired in and setup? The coil packs send a feedback signal to the ECU, so it knows that it fired. That's how it detects misfires. The MAPECU cuts spark for the rev limiter, so the ECU sees that as a misfire without the IGF line setup. It replaces the feedback from the coils, so you won't know when you have real misfires because the MAPECU will be telling the ECU that the coils are firing even when it is cutting spark for the rev limiter or launch control.

Nice combo! Now you just need some flow matched injectors to go with it (hint, hint, check the 2nd gen for sale section). :)
